The opening of Ink It Up at Bayley Arts was a fantastic evening. It was wonderful to see so many people celebrating the printmaking initiative. Bayley artist Shanaya Perera began with the Acknowledgement of Country and later demonstrated printmaking with artist Katie Starkey. Bayley House CEO Deb Stuart introduced Bayside Mayor and Councillor Fiona Stitfold, who officially opened the exhibition. Bayley Arts takes part in the Incognito Art Show
In May 2024 twenty Bayley Artists and three Bayley Arts Instructors submitted artwork to the ‘Incognito Art Show’ Australia’s biggest and most inclusive art show. These work go on sale in person in Sydney over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of July and then go online for the whole of Australia to view and purchase. Ink It up a Printmaking Intiative
In August 2023, Bayley Arts received a community grant from Bayside City Council, marking the beginning of the 'Ink It Up' initiative. ‘Ink It Up’ is a printmaking initiative celebrating the artistic talents of Bayley Artists. Bayley Arts began by purchasing a printing press from Melbourne Etching Supplies. Professional development for staff and Bayley Artists in printmaking processes began.
