Last Thursday evening marked the opening of the Brighton Grammar School Years 9-12 & Community Art Exhibition. The event showcased a stunning collection of artwork by students and talented local artists, all in support of Bayley Arts and Brighton Grammar School Friends of Art. It was truly inspiring to see how the space was used for the event. The team made excellent use of the gallery’s features, including a projector that displayed a captivating timelapse of the mural created in our driveway, as well as a live performance by their orchestra. The opening of Urban Jungle at Bayley Arts Gallery was a vibrant celebration of colour and the remarkable talents of Louise Taffs, Tamar Dolev, and Eli Tiernan. We had a delightful time marking sold pieces with red dots! This exhibition captures the distinct viewpoints of each artist, drawing inspiration from their urban surroundings. Bridges, roads, apartment buildings, palm trees, and the animals they encounter in parks transform into vehicles for abstract compositions, bold colors, and dynamic patterns. This year Bayley Arts textiles artists have designed and created a vibrant fashion collection. Come and see hand made pieces and textile prints modelled by Bayley Arts textile artists. Adaptive fashion label, JAM’s items will be modelled and sold on the evening. We will also be launching our first Bayley Arts T-shirt range!
